2026 RAN Men’s U19 XVs Set for August 5-8

The region’s age-grade event will return to FC Total in Querétaro, México as Federación Mexicana de Rugby (FMRU) closes out their three-year host bid. Due to the impact of the 2026 FIFA World Cup being hosted in our region, the Tournament has shifted away from mid-July to the first week of August for travel considerations.

“Closing our three-year hosting cycle in Querétaro is both an honor and a testament to the growth of youth rugby in the region. The RAN Men’s U19 XVs provides a meaningful international platform for emerging talent, and we are proud to continue supporting the development of players, coaches, and referees across our region.” –  Pablo Septien, FMRU President

While RAN’s member Unions are still confirming their participation, so far Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, Jamaica and the United States will join hosts México in three days of fifteen-a-side competition. The United States will be represented by the College Rugby Association of America (CRAA) Men’s U19s. The CRAA U19s program is designed to serve as a development bridge for high-potential athletes, aligning closely with USA Men’s National Team Pathways while expanding competitive opportunities beyond existing U18, U20, and U23 selections.

Each year as programs throughout the region continue to grow and develop, the level of competition and skill across the Men’s U19s has increased and impressed. The international environment offers meaningful minutes for players, coaches, and referees at a top-tier facility. The full competition landscape, including teams, pools, and format, will be announced at a later date. The tournament will be streamed on RugbyPass TV, World Rugby’s home for rugby, for all fans across the globe.

During the Tournament, the 2026 RAN Youth Leadership Academy graduation event will also take place in Querétaro as well. Academy participants will get to present their projects, celebrate their achievements and showcase their impact across the region.
