Men’s & Women’s XVs

The recently formed women's competition, tiered by performance and ranking, will see Canada and USA in the WXV1 bracket in 2024. Participating teams will include the top three teams from the Women’s Six Nations (Europe) and the top three teams from World Rugby’s Pacific Four Series.

Canada and USA Men will compete in the newly formed Pacific Nations Cup, running from August 31 through September 21, 2024. The two RAN nations will be in Pool B with Japan.

Rugby Americas North hosts an annual Men’s U19 XVs Tournament for member Unions to participate in. The event brings meaningful minutes for both development and performance purposes alike. 2025 features six teams in Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Jamaica, México, Trinidad & Tobago, and the United States.

RAN supports the organization and oversight of interregional test matches, working to create more formal competition opportunities between our member unions’ men’s and women’s fifteens programs.

Canada, England, France, and New Zealand have already qualified for RWC 2025 after finishing in the top four at RWC 2021, with the remaining positions to be filled via WXV and regional competitions in 2024.
