Following a successful three years in Querétaro, México, Rugby Americas North (RAN) has confirmed that the 2027 RAN Men’s U19s XVs tournament will be hosted by Trinidad and Tobago Rugby Union (TTRU). The tournament will take place July 7-10, 2027.
"Hosting the RAN Men's U19s XVs for the third consecutive year has been a true privilege for the Mexican Rugby Federation,” said FMRU President Pablo Septien. “The tournament has had a meaningful impact on our rugby community and represents one of the most important development programs we are part of. We look forward to continuing to compete and grow through this platform."
TTRU has a rich history of hosting RAN events, such as the RAN Sevens (2024-26), numerous senior Men’s and Women’s Internationals, and the U19s in 2013 and 2014. The Men’s U19s competition is RAN’s longest running development event and has witnessed many players make their age-grade and then journey into senior international fifteens and sevens programs – as well as refereeing, coaching and Executive Committee appointments at the highest levels. Based on Trinidad’s proximity to regional membership, there is a reasonable possibility of increasing the number of competing teams from six countries to ten teams competing.

The Trinidad & Tobago Rugby Union (TTRU) is eager to be a part of creating that platform for these young athletes by hosting the event. We cannot wait to see teams show up and show out in 2027."
